Gtechniq Gtechniq was founded by quantum physicist Drew Gill in 2001, out of a total dissatisfaction with the performance of paint protection products at the time. Everything from waxes, to new-fangled polymers and PTFE based miracle treatments, nothing on the market offered any meaningful durability, either in looks, or protection. Worse still, he found that most of the products actually performed poorer than the paints they were supposed to protect. From this discontent came a simple idea, ‘To engineer the world’s most beautiful, perfectly finished, smartest and most intelligent surfaces. Surfaces that do much more than simply look great when new.’

CSL + Exo V3 Recoat?

I applied CSL and Exo V3 to my car in March last year.
What would be the recommended preparation method before top-up of the Exo?

Can I layer V4 over what's remaining of the V3?

Thanks for any advice,

I've reapplied over old Exo before, just gave it a super light polish with AF Tripple then gave it 2 or 3 wipe downs with IPA. To avoid hitting the CSL much.

Alternatively liquid claybar and iron and decontamination and then panel wipe.

Should be able to layer it.

Thanks Beatty599,

I was thinking along those lines. A good wash and light polish followed by Panel Wipe.

Cheers,

Well possibly not I guess.

It's certainly not beading like it was but I agree I thought it would have lasted longer.

I have since read others describing the coating as clogged and maybe all mine needs is a good clean.

I've now ordered some W5 and will try that first to see the effect.

Thanks for the thought,
