Hyundai Coupe First Machine Polish

Sadly didn't take any before pics, but in this video you can see what the paint was like:

Overall got a very decent finish, not 100% perfect but for a first go its a huge improvement. Products used:

Guild DA
Green hex logic 4 and 6 inch pads
Scholl S20
Tetrosyl panel wipe
Fusso 99 to protect
Black To the Future on some bits of trim
Adams rubber cleaner on the window seals
Simoniz glass cleaner.

Things id do differently next time:

1. Try to stick to a smaller working area. There were times I was working some very large areas, even to the point where I got S20 to dust, which is basically unheard of lol.
2. Swap the power cable out for a longer one. Only really an issue doing the bonnet and roof at times.
3. Find a way to stop the polish dust getting in cracks etc. Compressed air got most of it out. im sure the rest will blow out over a few drives.

Thanks guys I'm blown away by the results.
I feel like the difference is more noticeable after a day or 2 when you look at your car and realise just how much more the paint is popping and shining compared to how it used to look. Even after some light rain it stays cleaner too. Now to wash it in future with the utmost care lol

I would be interested to see what this machine is like on a hard German paint. I am about to invest in a DA and am currently looking at a DAS6 Pro but this is a good saving on the price.

Nice work - always had a soft spot for a coupe and we used to have a red one which we got rid of a while ago - one of my first posts here was when I got a snowfoam gun and tested it on the coupe - https://www.detailingworld.co.uk/for...d.php?t=104843

If you opt for a weaker machine (Argos) just compensate with more pressure, more aggressive pads or more aggressive polish.
From what I understand the machine itself doesn't really matter, as long as it is able to spin under its own weight it will work.

Nothing feels better than the achievement alone for first time machine polishing.
Nice effort buddy

Random question, the Guild DA - i have one. Do you have a link to the backing plates that fit it? I want to get a 4" backing plate and a 6" one.

Also, good job! I'm about to give my car a good detail for the first time using a machine polisher, so hopefully i keep up the good standard you've set!
