This could possibly be the problem. Weather wasnt the best, november and december was very cold and wet.

I've used EE 2.0 myself a few times, topped with Remax.

Recently I did a maintenance wash on a car which had these two products on, the beading was minimal on the bonnet/roof and the sides there was none at all

I did leave EE for atleast an hour to cure on the car and remax, I did exactly what was intructed. These products give a beautiful glossy finish to the car but they're really not standing the test of time as much as claimed to be
Now either I'm going wrong somewhere or something but this has happened a few times on several car now, each time with a huge amount of curing time :/

What were the conditions when you applied Remax? See the above post about using it during cold weather.

Hi Seb as Brian has asked what were the conditions of which you applied the products. Also what product did you use to wash the car with?
I found in testing of this product ,I saw protection last around 6+months this was on a car left outside and washed weekly with britemax pure max shampoo yes low down it starts to break down but that was around the 6month mark.
Conditions of application are critical treat it like application of a glass coating you would not expect it to cure properly in cold damp conditions .

Hi Both

The conditions were both fine days, but cold (between 5-15 degrees celcius)

The shampoo I used was Autobrite's Purple Velvet - but I noticed even before washing that the water beading wasn't good.

Okay - so, in short, its not worth using EE 2.0 and remax until we get better warmer weather then?

Hi Seb, You say the it was air temp of 5 -15 deg C. unfortunatley you will find the panel is a lot less. If you are applying by hand you will not generate enough heat to get the product to bond to the paintwork. If you apply by machine this would help generate some heat into the panel which will assit with the bonding and curing of the product . Also you can apply remax with a soft pad to the paintwork .
