You can also use ONR in a spray bottle for things like removing bird poo. That's pretty much all I use it for, actually! It has good lubrication, so good for touching the car when you don't want to clean the whole thing.

As for doing rinseless washes, it's just not something that ever appealed to me. It seems like you'd just end up with loads more swirling than usual.

It's a god send for bird poo. I soak make up pads in it, place on the crap and let it sit for 5 mins. Scoops up effortlessly.

First time I used it - as per instructions - was a bit worried. Car quite clean but dusty and I used a microfibre mitt but a thin one. The initial scratchy drag terrified me. Next time I used a spray of ONR from the bucket and this transformed the whole process as did changing to a mitt with a much deeper pile - a G Technic one. This retains a lot of fluid so I would do one pass with one side of the mitt and another with the other side. This hugely reduced the issue of dirt being left on the drying cloth.

I do the same, but use folded up kitchen roll. Once it's wet with ONR it becomes very soft and not as abrasive as it usually feels. Doesn't matter too much anyway, as you're just trying to lift the poo off.

I use it frequently as I have no option of services near the car.

I find it easy to use ( granted the odd swirl mark doesn't phase me these days) Spray on and let dwell. Remove with either a good open cell sponge well soaked in solution and rinsed frequently or the method of using lots of MF cloths.
The big red Sponge is made for the job if you're affluent.

I keep a bucket of it ready made up with several cloths in, just for bird poo removal, the seagulls round here sh*t like cannon balls, one splat half covers the windscreen!. I probably empty and renew it once a month.
