It looks awesome and that for about £25! But i was also worried about the heat of the bbq and the wood (especially pallet wood?) It looks like there's more space between the aluminum heat band in the bbq in the previous table than the new one, or is that caused by the angle of the photos?

Anyhow it's looking soooo good!!

Thanks all for the kind words.

The Rotisserie is Weber own-brand, #7495. i really, really recommend it, it gets plenty of use! We even did a boned/rolled lamb joint on the skewer this easter which was superb.

There is definitely less of an air gap between BBQ and the table on this one, compared to the red tabletop. I will see how it goes. In any case I have a fire extinguisher hung on the shed. There is also the aluminium band running round the cutout, I could take that out, or lift the Weber up a bit higher on the blocks, all easy solutions.

When it's roaring on the next BBQ I will take the temperatures of the wood by the gap and see if it's dangerously hot.

I forgot to mention, the most important accessory has arrived and been installed - the beer bottle opener!
