Megane RS250 FF Cup
Morning all, last Thursday was a big day for me. After moving at the back end of last year money has been tight for a while and I have been either driving round in diesels or getting lifts. However things are back on the up in terms of cars! I purchased privately an Oyster grey MK3 Megane RS250 full fat with cup package. I have been after one of these beasts pretty much since I first went t the Nurburgring in 2016.
The problem I have always had is I have wanted a very specific spec. It must be the full fat model with cup chassis. On top of that it had to have the optional recaro seats and the xenon light pack, I would also have liked the RS monitor but it wasn't a definite requirement. So I found this one on Autotrader the weekend before last and made contact with the owner. He didn't particularly want to sell but for medical reasons his license had been revoked for a minimum of 12 months. Anyway onto the car, it has only covered 44k miles and comes with full history along with the all important cambelt change. The condition of the car is an absolute credit to its previous owner(s). There is hardly a mark on the entire car, just typical stone chips on the gloss black bit on the front bumper. Here she is parked up in McDonalds on Thursday night after picking up ![]() ![]() They were the only two photos I managed to get as light was fading fast! I was so pleased with how the car drives, the way it sounds and the amount of toys it has! Within the distance of driving back home it has put another Ring trip on the cards for later this year! Plenty of updates to follow!!!! |

That is one lovely motor Nick, I really like these RS Megan's and this Oyster grey isn't a color I see to often. I usually see the yellows and metallic red. As they say, all good things to those who wait. Enjoy it.

Cracking cars these Nick.
My biggest mistake was chopping our RS in for an Audi A5 Cab!! Enjoy the car as OG is an epic colour when prepped and topped with a nice LSP. My final pic of it the day we chopped it in. ![]() ![]() |

Snap! I also have a Oyster Grey RS250 Cup, although not the FF like yours (no Recaros, RS Monitor) but it's still an incredible car! Looking forward to some updates.

Thanks for the comments folks! Yeah I absolutely love the oyster grey, always thought I would end up with white or yellow but soon as I saw the photos of this one and then in the flesh/metal I was in love!
Not a massive update but one of the first things I wanted to do was remove the stupid M E G A N E off the back! There was also a very small Nurburgring sticker on the back which also had to come off. Here are a couple of before snaps.... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() And the afters, all I used was some very hot water, an old co-op dividend card ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I know it isn't a huge modification but my word it doesn't half improve the back end IMO! Couple of bits have been ordered. New California scents air freshener, Recaro seat cover, K&N panel air filter, LED numberplate & sidelight bulbs and an oil service kit. More updates to follow! |
