Thought I would introduce my new, well new to me MINI. With only 54k on the clock this was too good to miss. Mechanically its had everything it has ever needed done, on the outside it just needs some loving.
This was traded in, I took it home one night and put £30 of fuel though it :wall:
That whine was addictive :cloud9:

Plans are to tidy it up and keep it as a toy. Its away at the paintshop currently having the front end repainted and theres a few dents need removed
Some nice additions buddy, the carbon spoilers look epic on the r53's and make a huge difference in the sporty appearance department
(Now we all know they make the cars go faster to just like stripes but who gives one, lol )
I have been thinking of doing this actually! just need to find someone who can do that. the decals that are on the rear of the car are the proper MINI ones.
So with fitting the new wheels at the end of last year I decided i wanted to make another visual change to my S Works, goodbye bonnet stripes. Looking back at pics when i didn't have them fitted made me realise just how good it looked without them on.
I also got an ITG filter for the car so should have a bit more whine come the better weather when the car is back out again.
I need to get the JCW spoiler freshened up and fitted soon. Also going to investigate the JCW brake caliper upgrade this year.
As I've said before, original model of cars are the best, before they become flabby, there are few mk1's cars that are rubbish, or they wouldn't carry the name over. Yours is a very fine example of mk1 BMW Mini matey, try not to modify it to much though.
So this week I got some JCW brakes fitted to my car. These callipers came off a GP as the owner had upgraded to something else.
These would of been an official retrofit on my car when it was new, along with the JCW bodykit, engine tuning kit and suspension kit it had at PDI.
Such a difference in the stopping power! it certainly gives you a lot more confidence. Rear brakes, i was going to paint red, however it says online that the JCW brake kit didn't do anything with the rear brakes. So they will remain silver.
I would like to get the grooved and holed discs eventually as well. Also need to get the JCW rear spoiler fitted, its away being refurbed at the minute.
Saw you on the Castlewellan Road earlier this evening bud, you were just coming up the hill after the very bad left hander. You were, eh, flat..... Lol.

Not much to update. I attended the Causeway Coast Mini Clubs annual weekend. Saturday night was a run from Bushmills Whiskey distillery carpark into Portrush. Heres an in action shot.
The Sunday was a static show and shine..... I got best in class year and wasn't expecting too much this year..... Much to my surprise.... Best in Class :thumb:
I got a GP style matt black supercharger scoop insert to make a small change up front.
