Now in it's seventh generation, the Fiesta has had a facelift and extra interior tech for it's 2022 update. Starting from £16,620 you'll see that the front grille is larger and more angular than before with the oval badge now housed within the grille. The bonnet has also been re-sculpted and the nose of the car raised with new LED headlights. The sportier ST-line models get a more aggressive front bumper with a gloss black honeycomb mesh grille. The sides of the Fiesta remain unchanged but there are seven new wheel designs to choose from. The rear taillights have been darkened and there's a contrasting matte or gloss black diffuser finish. Inside, the Fiesta retains the same architecture as before, but it has a new infotainment system and safety tech. Among new tech is 'wrong way alert' which warns the driver traveling against oncoming traffic and we have adaptive cruise control, auto emergency braking and blind spot assist. The engine line up consists of a 1.0 litre three cylinder Eco boost with 99 BHP and two 48 volt mild hybrid options. Lets not forget the next ST which will have an updated 1.5 litre three cylinder engine with nearly 200 BHP.
Are fiesta/Ford drivers that stupid that they need a ‘wrong way alert’?!?
Never heard anything so pathetic for a while, but I guess to “need” it in such a mainstream, well selling car then someone, somewhere must have facts and figures to warrant it.
Give the chip shortages you’d have thought someone would go ‘retro’ and fit proper needle gauges, and basic controls with no tech frills to bump up prices and create an artificial demand of waiting lists for chips
Apples and oranges I know, but isn't that roughly what an ep3 type r went for back in the day? We really do have to pay loads extra for stuff we didn't ask for, and could well do without.
I'm sure it'll be a nice car, but it seems Darth Vader's games room is what you get now. I'm not a total Luddite, but I can see it's only going one way now.
