Mk1 Octavia vRS

Bought this at the end of Feb paintwork was terrible with holograms swirling and random scratches. I've been on DW for quite some time now and think this is the first time i've posted any of my cars I have cleaned. Will let the pictures do the talking (if I can get this them to work)!
Process was usual 2BM to start then clayed with BH autoclay, Megs 83, Megs 80, CG WMF, Poorboys EX-P and then Poorboys Nattys Blue.

Before shots showing general state of paint-

Managed to get a couple of 50/50 ish shots-

Bootlid at top spoiler at bottom

Driver side done passenger side not

And some after shots-

Roof

Bonnet

Bootlid/spoiler

Debadged it however can still see a ghost of the badge

Driver side rear quarter

Passenger side

Still loads of scratches but looks black now instead of grey and it has a lovely flake in the paint and I'm happy with it for now but any comments/constructive criticism welcome

Huge difference, well done

How's the interior? I find the light coloured cloth and light carpets in these get very grubby if not kept on top of.

Seats aren't too bad however carpet is a different matter tried to clean it in-situ with wet vac but its gonna have to come out I think, a few people on Briskoda.net have changed their carpets to a black one from a Golf 4/Bora but I want to keep it looking standard its little things like a different coloured carpet that makes it different.

I just sold my mk1 octy Vrs the end of February after nearly 8 years of ownership,it's the best all round car I've owned, being a mechanic,I done a couple of engine mods including a shark performance stage 2 remap which took power to around the 240 bhp mark which made it fairly quick,I found the standard suspension fairly poor,I uprated to koni shocks and h&r springs,I quickly removed the carpet and fitted a black carpet and recaro seats out a mk4 golf gti,in your pics it looks like red flake in the paint,on mine I had blue flake, maybye yours has too but not showing in the pics,I think black suits the Octavia Vrs the best.

Nice mate. I had a MK1 2.0 in the same colour. I used plasti-dip on the front grill surround as I like the ' stealth ' look. I felt it was out of place being the only piece of shiny exterior trim.

Absolutely

I had Cream/Beige carpet in my Calibra and i removed it and gave it all a really deep wet-vac and although it was clean already, the difference was impressive.
