Putting a QD Over a Wax

Should I leave a wax to cure before applying a QD or is it OK to apply straight away.

Never thought about it really. Usually I buff the wax off leave it for 15-45 mins and then give it a QD, though that’s more from wanting a drink than leaving it to cure.

It would make sense to let it cure a bit more though.

Thanks I have normally applied the QD straight after waxing but I am finding with some waxes it’s leaving a second haze
I do wonder about those waxes which they say look better after say 12/24 hours though

Never knew waxes set further after the haze stage.

I use QD to take the haze off and reduce the grinding on the paint.

makes sense...it would turn to rock in the tin if there was some curing going on

I'd question the reason for using a QD straight after applying a wax. It will be at it's best and it's very unlikely any QD will improve the finish. Maybe after a couple of washes but not straight away.

Personally I leave a wax 24 hours after I've buffed it off before touching the paint with anything.

However, I just tend to wait until the next time I wash it to sort out any smears or hazing.
