Type of leather - Mini Cooper 2006 Park Lane

Hi All,

Hoping someone can help me.

I just picked up a Mini Cooper 2006 Park Lane edition and am trying to identify the type of leather that is used for the seats and to get some specific recommendations on cleaning and protection products.

Anyone know? I can't find any answers elsewhere.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide

Dave

I'll have a punt and say they could be the same leatherette that BMW use, so not "real" leather, but still classed as such.

I think it could be called SensaTec?

its all plastic, treat it as such.

Dont put protection on or things that 'feed' the leather as it isnt leather.
It's plastic

Clean well, keep clean, end of.

Hi, Do the water drip test......if the the water drips on the leather and soaks in its the real deal and if not it’s imitation.
Treat the imitation leather as plastic and real leather with a treatment kit (cleaner and conditioner).

Hope this helps
Regards
Paul

Real leather was one of the features of the Park Lane edition. That said, it is coated leather like most automotive surfaces in this century.
