This is pretty much exactly what we would have bought if the X-Trail hadn't have come up first ! I think the wife would have preferred the cr-v as its abit more modern than the X-trail but she's getting on with it just fine.

Looking forward to more updates
I think I liked the CR-V and X-Trail because they are pretty similar.
I didn't think the Nissan looked any less modern than the Honda.

My wife was looking forward to driving this over the winter but when we picked it up she thought it was a bit bigger she had imagined.
So she just loves being passenger

Gonna try and get her to take it for a spin over the next couple of weekends

Not many.
Just been using it daily to be honest.

Done about 10k miles since buying it, been all over the place.

If weather plays fair over the weekend I’ll get it washed and get some up to date pics.
I’ve fitted some genuine Honda chrome side bars which have made it look a lot better imo

This month, another 12 months MOT on it - nice.

A quick service and health check at Honda.

I had a smoky diesel smell again and it was similar to this time last year, but this time injector seal #4.

£4.70 copper washer later and half hours labour it was fixed.
I had been suffering since the service with the engine being very clattery too.
I though it might have just been the injector seal but it got rid of the smoke but not the noise.

My mate (Honda tech) had crawled all over it trying to figure out what it was and asked if I had put different fuel in recently ?

I put a full tank of Esso diesel in the night before the service, but use that garage every now and again and thought nothing of it.

Ran the tank right down to empty, and filled up with Shell yesterday.
Smooth as butter now

Very unusual, but happily its back to normal.

172k and used every day to go everywhere.
Wont be worried about winter weather this year again.

Off work for half term soon, so it will get a nice pre-winter detail and wax.
