This made me smile because I grew up in those times.

pretty much the top and bottom of our present day consumerism.

can throw climbing tree's into there as an 80's kid, playing tennis in the street during wimbledon and a lampost as stumbs during the ashes.

Yep, all this hysteria over man made climate change is losing sight of the fact that modern society and rampant consumerism is a large part of the cause.

I don't think consumerism can be blamed.

If you believe that co2 is an issue, then the main source is fuel burning for electricity, heating and transport... Not consumerism.

Plastic in the oceans perhaps? 50% of all plastic waste in the ocean is old fishing nets, and the vast, vast majority of the waste is from the far and middle east. These are not ordinarily consumerist countries.

I can't get my head around the hysterics we're seeing as our entire country is responsible for so little on a global scale. Even the US emits just over half the amount of co2 as China according to the 2016 stats.

For me this just enforces the larger agenda against Western ideology. A lot more could be done by China but there's no point in targeting them as they're already under a brutal socialist dictatorship. Water melons strike again.

Isn't it amazing how little coverage something as significant as this received?

Almost like there's some sort of agenda controlling what we're meant to see and believe.
