The wheels look amazing now, looks like they've done a great job and as others have said, the red caps look excellent

Really liking the 3D printed phone holder and looks excellent in place.

Agree about the top - what about some Carbon wrap type of finish ?

Perhaps, or more likely a satin black wrap just so it fits in with the rest of the area, is passed my idea onto my friend about attaching a charging cable to the base and heís one upped it by suggest a charging hardwire to switched ignition...

Thatís his area though, so will update when he next tinkers with the car on that one!

They look stunning! Wow. This will be the best XFR on the roads no doubt!

Newest parcel arrived today:

Some right angled charging cables, got various lengths to get the best fit when making the hardwired charging solution with the phone holder...

Was hoping to get some smaller tasks completed this weekend, but between a surprise amount of workload courtesy of my employer and the forecast, it looks like an action free weekend!

I also looked into the improvement of finish on 3D printed parts using acetone as mentioned, done via a process called vapour blasting... As I do not know the raw material used, and lacking in the recommended protective clothing, I think that I will be giving that a miss. Results look great, but as it is hidden I think the wrap will suffice, also thought about my faux suede idea and due to the tolerance fitting have decided against it I think. I would only be able to wrap the top face, and whilst that it is all that is needed, I do not possess the skill set to cut that neatly and leave a neat finish...

Great work on this car mate.

I read through all 17 pages last night and have only just got round to commenting.

Some great attention to detail.
Keep the updates coming I'm subscribed

Got bored so was reading the fitting instructions for the umbrella holder and then decided to see what the triangle displays like:

And opened up the first aid kit:

Quite a bulky kit in fairness:

I plan to drive to Germany in the car so require both, admittedly you can get a cheapo pre made kit but thought Iíd go genuine as they were 2 of very few factory options not selected when the car was ordered...

Came home to a parcel and a missed parcel note, both from Royal Mail

The parcel that got delivered is:

Then another knock at the door, 7.5t lorry out front...

Delivering this:

For those of you who hadnít worked it out, here it is unwrapped:

This is to rectify this:

Creases arenít fun, so much cheaper to get a second hand door! It has a few marks that I could see but no creases! If worst comes to worst Iíll get it painted, but then it will be a perfect door rather than nearly...

It is by far the heaviest piece of car Iíve carried! Already called in help getting that fitted! I have removed diff and gearboxes but theyíve always been aided in removal... perhaps the jack pads with slots I bought may come into use here...

This also arrived:

To go with the umbrella holder I bought, although I fear that the umbrella may be a tad long! We shall see!

Canít think what the parcel I need to collect is as I thought that they were all of my outstanding deliveries

You are certainly taking the car restoration seriously... ordering a whole door!
