No, I prefer to go with the theory of natural climate that changes over time regardless. Ice ages etc that have happened before.
What might help me do more is rather than taxing everything to the hilt and blaming climate change offer better incentives to change. Why not offer solar panels at cost or electric cars extremely cheap if they are that good? We have recently had two stretches of dual carriageway by us reduced to 50mph to lower pollution! That was a few months back and hey Presto now speed cameras have gone up. Not one bit of data has been provided to show pollution before or during the 3mth trial.

We maybe contribute a few % but its made up to tax people more i think. Climate change is something that happens naturally, take for example, where i am stood now,Northern England, it was 1 mile deep of snow and ice, 12000 years ago.. It melted itself without any car exhausts to help it

I’m sure man isn’t doing the planet any favours, but I believe she’s old enough and big enough to look after herself - been doing it for ages. Hot/cold/hot/cold.

What isn’t going to help, or solve anything is our tiny little island taxing it residents more and more. Until they stop doing that as a ‘solution’ I’ll continue to believe it’s all just a money grab.

"Climate change" another excuse to tax everything and anything, I suppose the Dynosours farting contributed to the last ice age. when we run out of oil that is when "they" will discover alternate fuel sources, until then I'm just living the dream!! with my foot to the floor!!

Is man made climate change real?
Yes, wether we like it or not, we are poisoning the atmosphere and the planet.
Will climate change protesters make a difference?
Nope. The country banned 4 star and cfc’s long before climate change became the in thing and whilst it might have improved things, the percentage is miniscule. Until the likes of China and the US change, it wont make any difference. Not going to happen

25 corporate and state producing entities account for 51% of global industrial GHG emissions. 100 producers account for 71% of global industrial GHG emissions.

Yet the government tax me higher for doing 1000 miles a year in my car than the next man who does 20,000 because my car has slighter higher CO2 emmissions.

But that's not down to climate change, that's down to the idiots in Westminster being a bunch of thieves no matter which particular flavour they represent. That's a whole seperate discussion for a different thread but not one of them has the interests of the country or the people in their agenda.

Climate change became a thing when Blair was in power, hence the banning of CFC's, just a shame everyone after him has ignored it and Ms Thunberg can stamp her little feet all she wants, if the entire world stopped using things that affect climate change:
a) her nice shiny electronic gadget filled world will suddenly become a thing of the past
and
b) how long does she think it will take to make any real difference to the planet? She is 16 now so her bleating about childhood is rubbish, she's almost an adult but real meaningful change to the climate will take decades and by the time it does happen, she will be middle aged.
I get that we need to do something and i'm more than happy to give up my car IF the powers that be make public transport both clean and reliable at times i might want to use it.

If they wanted real change, then they would insist we all use hydrogen powered cars - they do exist - and make them cheap and the filling stations plentiful but like the electric cars, they are a threat to the oil producing cartels and hence why they are kept artificially high in cost.

Right, i'll grab me soapbox and see you all later

Don’t get me started on the CO2 emissions BS...

Had countless t@@ts have a go at me for my planet killing V8s when they are doing 4 times the mileage of my whole fleet, never mind just 1 car... grrrrr
