Nilfisk blocked with snowfoam lance?

So when the cleanyourcar foam lance is attached it is like it is blocked. I stripped down and cleaned the gauze, no difference, I tried without the gauze no difference.. but when I attach and remove the foam lance to the nilfisk it is really stiff and very difficult to remove - the insert 1/4 turn. It didn’t used to be like that. The normal power wash end attaches and removes easily but not the foam lance. Is there something I am missing?

Just had a similar problem with my nilfisk lance. Placing anthing into the main body of the lance was no to bad but removing was hard. I was thinking that the spring in the main part of the lance had stuck or maybe a washer is stopping it releasing. I was going to order a replacement washer set. Last time I used the lance it started spraying water out of the side of the lance as though it had split. I haven't taken it apart yet as I've a couple of spare lances.
Maybe a similar fault to yours.

The original spray lance fits ok, a little bit sticky but much better than the the snow foam lance.

Not sure if this is relevant, but I always found that if I didn't release the pressure once the waher was turned off the lance was difficult to get off.

I’ve often had problems in the past too getting attachments out of my P150 gun. In the end I tried lubricating the end of the fittings (especially the o-rings) with silicone grease, and that seems to have done the trick - no more sticking attachments for me.
