G3 High Shine Shampoo

Going to have a mess at the weekend so interested in this to start the ball rolling. Can be picked up from ecp for 7 ish. I know garage therapy is supposed to be brilliant but has anyone used this stuff. Used to be called body prep shampoo iirc.

John at Forensic Detail did a strip wash video a few weeks ago and he had G3 in it. Cant remember the result, but might be worth a watch

I have used it for years, both as Body Prep Shampoo and previously as G3 Decon Shampoo. I understand this is the same stuff.

It has never made any claims for stripping as such, but i have found its a strong cleaning shampoo and does deff go further than ordinary shampoos.

So its not in the same league as panel wipe, but its definitely a notch or two above ordinary shampoo. You need about 30ml in a bucket.

Just to say i mean using it as a shampoo, no as a strip shampoo.

I found it average as a shampoo

I've used Meguiars wash plus and been happy with the results from it, not tried G3 yet - on my list to potentially try when I've used up the Meg's...

I have used the G3 'Decon Shampoo' a few times now. I have always been left wanting a bit more to be honest. From a shampoo perspective, its ok. But thats about it IMO. As a strip wash, again, its Ok. It did visually reduce some protection that was on its last legs anyway but I will 100% be going for the Garage Therapy one next time. Not only was it recommended by a friend but after the Forensic Detail channel strip wash review, its a future purchase for sure!

When it was body prep shampoo, it did a great job of removing all wax from the car, but the results that Jon at FD were pretty disappointing. Although to be fair that was freshly applied paint.
I did actually reach out to the team at G3 and ask them if the formulation is exactly the same but they never got back to me.

Going forward though I'll be using GT instead to get the remnants of the old wax off. From past experience, UHD Wax stays on the panel for a long time, so it should be starting to wear off by October which'll give me time to get it protected for the winter.
