Pressure Washer Hose and Reel

I am after a new 20m hose and reel for my karcher K4.

Can anybody recommend a good setup or a good supplier please? Is there an alternative to direct hoses as not many folks seem to have a good word to say about them currently

I have a good word about Direct Hoses but not their inability to answer the phone.
Because it is only 20/30 mins away I went round to buy a rubber hose c/w swivel and a stubby gun. I wanted to see what length of hose would fit on
my k4 integral reel so we tried it in the car park then Marcus fitted a swivel there and then.
I'm as happy as Larry with the products and how much better the stubby gun is than a lance around the car.

Hi,

Have a read of this:

https://www.detailingworld.co.uk/for...d.php?t=412122

I had a 15m hose but it'll be the same one, just longer for you. I had no issues with the order. I get the impression that they're over busy and understaffed rather than being "dodgy" or difficult.

Andy.

I had a reasonable experience with DH recently. Ordered, paid the delivery fee, got the hose a couple of days later. No real hassle and it looks like a solid bit of kit.

Just recently bought a 20 met hose and reel combo with swivel and short gun, arrived 4 days after order as has everything else I have ordered in the past.

I've only ever called into Direct hoses and on both occasions they were fantastic.

I've mentioned these guys from Fleabay a few times, pressurewasherpartsuk.

Great prices, 1st class customer service and very qk on deliveries etc....

I have a K4 FC Roy and finally, wish I'd done it sooner, fitted a wall mounted reel in my garage so the K4 stays there and I drag my hose out to the car.

Have a look here at my thread as it's set up for the K4 as you can see.
I already had the hose and just fitted it to the reel.

Yep, my setup is exactly the same with my K5, washer stays with the reel so just the hose to unwind, should have done it a long time ago.

To be clear, if you buy a hose reel from Direct Hoses it’s going to be the same reel you’d buy from pretty much anywhere else. I’ve had a good experience with them and a bad one, but I think that where there are problems it’s usually with stuff that they buy in, then the problems get compounded by poor after sales service, hence their poor reputation.

Their hoses always seem to get good feedback and if they are building them onto generic reels in house then you should get a quality product, that said if there were to be an issue down the line you could be in for a struggle to get it sorted. They do seem to come through eventually but that is still no excuse for poor service.

I have one of their AB9 pw and it’s been solid, I also have one of their reels with 20 metres of their own branded Flexiwash hose and that’s very nice quality too. At the end of the day single wire rubber hose is pretty much standard and there’s not a lot can go wrong with it, a manual hose reel is the same, simple design with proven reliability and as long as the two are put together by someone who knows what they are doing, which DH undeniably do, you should be golden.

I have a older K5 and want to replace the hose with a non-kink pain in the butt one.. I have to wheel my K5 out to the driveway as my garage is at the rear of the garden.

What I want to know is can I put one of these hoses onto the the o.e reel on the K5?
