Next job to be completed was tinting the windows and the rear lights. I was hoping the black would go well with the red and I was really pleased with how it looked. Hopefully these pictures won’t turn out massive.

Yeah, it definitely was. The guy I bought it from breaks cars and said he was 99% certain it was a genuine one but he wasn't willing to split it from the bootlid to confirm in case it was bonded on. He did say though that if it wasn't genuine he'd give me a full refund. Worth the risk for that for sure!

The finished car does look really well. I'm not sold on smoked lights in general but it does work with the rest of the car. You've done well to bring it back from the brink. It's a shame so many of these cars get scrapped for easy money by the breakers rather than repaired. Symptomatic of today's society in general though I guess.

Are you planning to rebadge the boot at all?

Personally I think it would really set it off. Colour looks absolutely spot on

Personally not a massive fan of the tinted lights but the colour, the wheels and the tinted windows look fab together, well done

I thought about it for a while but decided to leave it without the badges. It wasn’t an easy decision.

They are not everyone’s cup of tea. I felt limited with my choices for this one. I could’ve put rear lights on from the later blob eye model but I’m not a huge fan of those either. I enquired about an aftermarket set from a JDM car but there was no fog light in the cluster. I nearly purchased some rear morette lights from Facebook marketplace but again I wasn’t keen. A few companies do some cool custom LED rear lights but these are to expensive at over £1000.

I’ve never actually seen a replica Prodrive spoiler for sale, it’s usually always the STI spoiler.
