Rust on white paint

I thought the polish would remove a rust stain on the white paint but it done nothing. It was poorboys diamond white. Is their a simple way to remove it.
I could use the DA on some of it but it wouldn't do in along the edge of the trim were it ran out from.

You need a polish instead of a glaze, what else have you got.

I dont know how to get a photo on.
I have think I have some old AG polish, autosmart g101, m105, wd40, max power tar remover.
I've very little. I've been out of the game for too long and have forgotten everything. I was afraid of wd40 or petrol or something yellowing the paint.
I'm used to rubbish paint and never had a white car before and its fairly good paint and I don't want to make a hash of it

Could this be fallout? Is it lots of small rust pinpricks? Or a large patch of solid rust? If it is rusty little dots, then something like Autoglym Magma would be useful here. A photo would help.

It rusts comes from panel under the paint, not much you can do.

If rust is on paint better try a fallout remover.

Polish is not good as it might pick up large chunks and rub them against paint and cause more damage.

Pictures look like you have rust at the top of that panel under the chrome trim , only solution is to remove the trim and repair the rust , quicker you do it the cheaper it will be

Yeah, I'd agree with that, it looks like the metal hole the trim will clip onto has had the paint breached and thus is rusting. You'll be able to clean up the stain with something like BH Korrosol and some compound but it'll return as it's coming from the panel itself. Treat it quickly and well and it'll be fine but if you leave it then it will only get worse exponentially.

If you can remove the trim easily then that'll give you an idea of what to do. What car is it on? If you google 'trim removal on x door x car' then you should get an idea of what you're dealing with. Treat with something like BH Deox Gel, then something like BH Hydrate 80 to convert anything remaining, and then a decent etch or zinc primer followed by top coat. As it's under the trim I'd just get brush on stuff as it'll protect as well as spray but require lots less experience and effort!
