Getting back in the game!

Morning ladies and gents! I used to frequent this forum many years ago.......and then life got in the way!! So, I need to get back in the game. Can you recommend some easily obtained and not fantasy money products for the following:

wheel cleaner......non acidic. Thought about valetpro Bilberry?
shampoo. Thought about autoglym?
snow foam.Thought about valetpro or autoglym?
Apc. Thought about meguiars (again)?

Help guys..........I'm so far behind the curve it's untrue!!

Best

Dave

Hi and welcome back to DW

Easily obtainable - picking up from Halfords, therefore most things from Autoglym / Meguiars etc they sell and they work well.

If you’re ordering in, well , where do you start, so many options.

DetailedOnline is good, offers good products at good prices and you can buy all from 1 place...

Do you currently have anything ?

Welcome back. I was thinking a while back, that what would it be or what would I get if I started over again. And then it struck me - so many trial and error purchases, tryouts etc. I realized - I should have just got Koch Chemie products. With their value in price point / performance, which is hard to beat. Their products just work, I haven't got one that doesn't provide results. So yeah, I'd look into KC to be honest.

So many great products around but for me I would go with:

Wheel Cleaner - BH Korrosol - great iron fallout remover and doubles up as a superb wheel cleaner. I still have Bilberry in the garage for those really nasty jobs - awesome product
Shampoo - BH auto-wash. the best shampoo I have tried but I also get on very well with Megs Wash and Wax or Gold Class Shampoo. Both good products.
Foam - BH auto-foam. Tried loads of others but this is my go to product for prewash
APC - BH Surfex. Amazing product from 1% dilution for interior or 35% as a degreaser.

As you might be able to tell, I am a BH fan but their products work. And are not unreasonably priced. Works for me

Many thanks gents!! Some good places to start there. It's a minefield.....but then it always was. Gone are the days when I'd go to Florida (10 plus years ago!!) and come back loaded with Mothers or Meguiars products........some of which I still have by the way!! I think the real head scratcher is wheel cleaner........I'm sure I had some "auto-brite" that was really good but can't seem to find that noe. Anyhow.......keep the ideas coming guys......I need help!! By the way, for info, I drive a 2016 vw transporter.......lovely vehicle, crap paint!!

By the way, it's good to be back.......it always was a friendly forum......seems it hasn't changed much!! Cheers guys.

Everything above is correct and good stuff.

I'll add in Car Chem as they're one of my favourite manufacturers.

Their 1900:1 shampoo has been one of the top performers for a long time and they have just revamped a lot of their products.

Looking forward to hearing and seeing (photos ) what you go for and how you get on.

Enjoy yourself and good luck.

Andy.

Id go with the bilt hamber stuff aswell.

Auto-wheel for wheels
Auto wash for shampoo
Auto foam for snow foam
Surfex hd for apc

The only thing is auto-foam can strip or degrade lsps.
