I can see Cookies' point as if you hold a driving license then parking in a parking space as you likely do regularly shouldn't be deemed a bloody 'challenge'.

Sadly my huge lack of trust in other road users means that I'm not surprised in the slightest that it's a challenge for people. I haven't parked my own car in a car park in a long time but I do recall waiting in my other half's whilst she went in to get shopping. It's an utter free for all full of morons. If you don't get your car dinged you'll get it scraped.

Sadly to many, being able to not hit other people's property isn't as high up on their agenda as it should be.

Its mad how people park sometimes, yet I prefer to reverse in a space, means I can make a quick getaway, reversing out of a space normally takes forever

It's easier reversing in as well. Although having an Insignia estate I have to rant at length of some spaces. You look at my car sometimes and think it's been abandoned it's stuck out that much yet when you look it's right in the space up to the line.

That's exactly it! I get that some folk may find it difficult, but not MOST folk.

Sadly mate, I think there's a lot of things people find a challenge day to day which you or I would hope/assume they don't. Like not being a f*ckwit but I see that all the time

Unfortunately the actual driving is low on the list of things to do whilst driving these days.
The average person seems to merely use their car to avoid walking, so putting effort in to being reasonable at it is not something they're interested in.

See also simple routine checks/maintenance.

Hello Niall,

Hope all well with you and yours.

I do wonder if some of us are mugs whoactually went through the test while everybody else just paid an examiner off and bought their licences...

As an antidote, why not rewatch the Italian Job - the real one - and enjoy three Minis being reverse parked in formation ?

Best

P

The sexual innuendos tonight were cutting things fine for a family show.

I did laugh at the "this is what goes on in Benidorm" joke. The women looked offended once she got it.
