Its always best to polish before applying anything so yes... You can use gep before cancoat but gep is an oily pre wax cleanser so I suggest you do a panel wipe after polishing for better durability of cancoat.

Apologies for resurrecting an old thread, but I couldn’t find the answer to this question.

Can Cancoat be applied outside on a dry day?

Yes again...I applied one coat in October after polishing. I did it outside, it cured outside and its still works fine today.

Just to give some additional technical background... Q˛ CanCoat has the quickest drying/curing time of all Gyeon coatings which makes it the most capable of applying outside. However, you will never provide the ideal conditions for a coating outside. You can't stabilise temperature and humidity, not to mention the dust that settles on the paint.
