New member, new...bie, new paint job, ,new Subie in town

Hello all, i am Sorin, i live in Brasov, Romania...you know, 20 km away from Dracula Castle😅. Please excuse my English as is not my main language and i know i have problems in grammar spelling.
First i want to thanks to Bill and Matt for helping me to activate my account , also want to thank you all for all outstanding infos about detailing /proper maintenance of a car and products to use.

I am here because my 2015, Subaru Outback , get a full new paint job and i want to maintain it as best as i could after that. I have it for more than 1 year, and i got a lot of stone chips, also minor dents from supermarket parking. ..and a lot of others minor scratches from car wash. Is a daily driver, is serve me wonderful and will be ashame not to be maintained aswell .

This one is about 2 days ago when i let it to the Subaru dealer to be painted

And this one is from last winter walkaround :

I am in the process of preparing my shopping basket for some products to maintain it after new paint.
It will benefit also for a professional paint correction and some protection after new paint is cure.
Thanks again and i will keep you posted with the results before and after !
Regards, Sorin.

Welcome Sorin,

Good luck with the detail.

The closest I've been to you is Cluj-Napoca where we went last year in August during a Euro road trip. We stayed in a lodge owned by some friends in Apuseni Natural Park. Absolutely stunning and the local Dracula's where very pleasant.

Thanks for your warm welcome! One of my first question is about what to do after paint job is finnish? I was choosing to go with Glasurit 55 line - a solventborne basecoat and on top, 2 layers of ceramic clearcoat , also from Glasurit. I am very curios about polish capability of this kind of clearcoat . The bodyshop will make only spotted paint correction and only if necessary - like overspray or maybe some dirt under the clearcoat. I don't know how much orange peel will result after ...so what to do ?Stick with the less aggressive polish stage ? I am thinking not to do any sanding or compound ...only clay if necessary and ask for a fine stage 1 polish as in theory will be swirl and scratch free. Bodyshop are ok to do anything i want after only a 10 days cure . What is your opinion?
