Now I like a big wing, and I like a Giulia, but a Giulia with a big wing? Not sold, I'm afraid.

Whip that off, and it'd make a lovely ornament on the driveway.

It does look nice but...

The arch extensions on the rear look a little bit of an afterthought, why are they black when there is no matching section on the front arches?

Also The GTAM has a roll cage and no rear seats why does it still have rear doors? so much extra weight could have been saved if the GTAM were a three door, just makes it look like another afterthought.

Don't get me wrong it is a very pretty car, I just can;t help but think they had a design and then chucked a few ideas at it that they had over an extended "Italian" lunch meeting (4 hour wine and pasta fest I mean)

The arch extensions are, I think, a deliberate nod to those on the classic 105 series GTAm, which were seriously gimcrack.

Maybe because it's based on a four door car and engineering a new bodyshell for an expensive limited run model is unlikely to be cost effective.

Besides, opening the rear door on a four door car and seeing nothing but roll cage is cool as. Mid 90s btcc saloon car racing car memories.
