Honda Accord Tourer Type S
Hey guys, *
Thought I would just start a thread for my newest car. Previous cars which were on here were: Astra F GSI rep Astra G Turbo Cabby Vauxhall Calibra Corsa B surf bus Astra G estate... This is my first car which isn't a Vauxhall! I was after a reliable family car, big enough for surf boards and baby stuff, reliable enough to do 10,000+ miles per year with work and surf trips whilst being fun to drive but not crazy expensive. A friend of mine is a Honda Technician and promised me I wouldn't be disappointed with a Honda and suggested the 2.4 engine was bullet proof and fun. Found this beauty about an hours drive away and got it for £1200. *Drove it home and have been happy with it ever since. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The tyres were running low and rather than pay out for new tyres on the standard wheels I found a set of Prodrive Alloys off an RX8 which I think suit the car perfectly. ![]() Do now need to get new tyres for that so they have matching profiles front to back but happy with how it drives for the time being and as the tyres were nearly new seems a waste. Last night I fitted the XcarLink that allows an iPod or Aux to play through the factory stereo, *everything came apart easily and fitted in about 20 minutes, no drama and works as it says on the pack. Further photos will be up at the weekend after I have had an opportunity for a thorough clean. Last edited by dexter101; 15-02-2018 at 03:37 PM. Reason: updating photos |

I've always liked the shape of these and the saloon, they seem a lot of car for the money and look fairly premium! Nice little find with a 2.4 engine as well, bit more fun than the diesels that these usually have

Thanks dude, it really is a great car and very spacious. When hoovering out the boot I put the rear seats down and can fully lie down. Think with a clean it will certainly look smart.

I've always liked these, I looked at one around 5 years ago to tow a caravan with but I read they had issues because of the large overhang so went for a Vectra estate instead.
Cracking looking bus imo. |

Awesome, sounds like it'll be perfect for what you need. Those engines are indeed fantastic, and the new wheels look loads better and actually look more OEM than the originals!
Came very close to buying one of these last year, but a move meant I ended up with something much smaller. Still on the "wish list" though ![]() |

I can't fault the car at the moment, on a run I can get upwards of 36mpg and day to day its not too bad either. also as its pre 2006 tax isnt crazy either. |

Blue is one of my favourite colours for that reason. Would love a black car but would always just be disappointed with how dirty it got. |

Great motor for the money, the 2.4 is nice engine and has good power. The Accord estate is a roomy motor too.
I'm a big fan of Pentas, but those Prodrives look good too. Put the Pentas on ebay and they will be snapped up no doubt. Nice set of coilovers next then? ![]() ![]() |
