Exclamation My car of the day, new Honda e.

Honda have gone all funky with their new electric e. With it's dinky dimensions and small running costs, it's bound to be a success for Honda and a worthy newcomer. It's cute styling and comfortable looking cabin that looks almost like a lounge sets it apart from it's rivals like the new Mini e , Peugeot e-208 and Vauxhaul's new Corsa e. But with an eye watering £26,000 and only a small range of 137 miles, you would ask yourself if this new Honda e is a luxury or compelling small electric car? With a glut of SUV's and other electric new comers, the Honda e has a key advantage as it looks refreshingly small but surprisingly it's the same size as the Honda Jazz. It's a clever piece of design and not just that it looks small but in looks desirable in an i phone kind of way. This Honda e is developed on an entirely new platform. Entry level models gets you 16 inch alloys, 134 BHP electric motors, heated seats and heated steering wheel and semi autonomous parking. However at up to £28,660 (after Government grant) you do have to pay for the privilege and for some the relatively small range will be tough to take because it's main rivals go further for less money.

Like it?

interior dash = yes. Although why do these eco friendly cars think wood has to be used along with cheap looking fabrics. Sure, use eco friendly material but make it look/feel nice!

exterior = just the right side of ugly.

ive said this on a few e-cars, wby cant they come up with some smarter wing (camera) mirror options that dont look like a bolt on after thought.

That would be a yes from me, wouldn't care how it was powered, just a well designed car!

I like it, although it does look a bit like a Skoda from the side. Interior is pretty cool. But at a range of 137 miles it’s a no thanks.

Front end reminded me of a challenger so that's good (maybe)

Nice use of tech in the dash but the wood isn't for me, jarring with the tech to my eye

The marketing people for these models love rolling exterior shots, the VW equivalent was the same.

Retro cool ......... at a price, but I like!

Driving dynamics are said to be very good and turning circle is tiny making it very manoeuvrable and fun to drive.

Shame about the tiny boot and range but plenty sufficient for a 'City' car as their target market.

The price and the 1980 Atari interior massively let this car down.

The citigo is the better option for the daily grind... hence why I've went for that rather than the Honda.

Such a shame they didn't stick more to the Urban EV concept.
