Yeah I was very pleased, my code reader only had that code, garage had solus ultra so that showed the additional misfire code and then went through standard of disconnecting individually and then moving the coil to trace the fault to the coil itself

To be fair even if all coils need replacing it will be cheaper than any the cat

Not been much in terms of updates lately, so thought I would update the few things I have done.

I did the winter prep and coated the car in FK1000p to have a layer of protection for the impending weather!

I also developed a screenwash leak...

Annoyingly I have replaced the washer jet previously, I also managed to break the headlight trim whilst searching for the leak

So these arrived today:

Will paint up the new trim into the correct colour and fit them soon as having screenwash would be nice

Still haven’t got round to sorting the screenwash out life has got in the way...

Also this happened:

I have the wheel booked in Thursday along with the spare set I’ve had in the garage for around 2 years, in a way kerbing the wheel was a kick in the backside to get round to doing them! Using a local company that refurbished the wheels the first time, their work is readily available on social media and is to a high standard! 2 of the wheels need straightening and they said they wouldn’t charge for this as I am getting 5 wheels done which is nice.

I have seen the results of their straightening work first hand previously from the person who recommended them, so I know they will come out well

Nope, it was in a new build area, I have gone round the same corner a few times but obviously took it for granted in the dark

Safe to say I’ll be crawling around that corner in the future

The wheels were all dropped off this morning along with the car as I didn’t want to leave my car on a stand (or 2) for 2 days... I imagine it would attract unwanted attention for walkers by

Hopefully they will be ready tomorrow!

Went and collected the car today, here is the wheel pictured above:

Looks so much better, just need to get a replacement M sticker

Here is an example of what the spares look like (need a tyre for this one):

Very happy with the work again

Its really great to see someone putting so much time into their car no matter what it takes. It really does put the pride into 'Pride and Joy'.

Fast forward a number of years, when you're putting in 25k miles/year, most of which just for work and in traffic..... Then you won't give a flying toss! Ha
