Chrome wheel wax & clay

1st post...I’m new here but got a question..what’s the best product to use for chrome wheel shine and protection? I recently got some brand new chrome wheels on my truck and I plan to use clay bar the wheels first before I apply anything. Looking for something with good shine and protection I really don’t want/need a polish with any abrasives in it..the wheels aren’t neglected. And I need it to hold up to the high temp brakes produce being that I’m applying it to a wheel. Thanks

Clay IS abrasive and will likely marr the finish. If the wheels really are brand new, I'd give them a wash, dry, wipe down with panel wipe or lighter fluid, then apply Finish Kare Fk1000P, or Wowos'Crystal Sealant.

The standard suggesting for wheel protection is Gtechniq C5, Carpro DLUX, Carbon Collective Platinum Wheels, or another ceramic type product, but I'm not sure how well they work on actual metal (as opposed to paint or powder coating that you usually have on wheels).

Hi and welcome to DW

I've used Raceglaze nano wheel sealant on my cars wheels and been very pleased with the results.

A good quality wax will also work well - BH DSW is another good option to Steelghost's suggestions. I've not used wowo crystal sealant, but it gets very good reviews and certainly on my list to try
