I hope all goes well with yours and hopefully we'll both be losing lots of sleep this time next year

Hoping all works out for you . Such a good bunch of people on the forum that you can literally share anything here.

My best friend and his wife have been married nearly 5 years and a few years back decided they want kids. Unfortunately they have lost 4 and currently undergoing further medical tests so I believe. Not to make him sound heartless but the first one or two did upset and bother him or you could tell at least, with the latter two I didn’t see it the same. I know possibly from the male perspective there is very little we can do. His wife has been devastated with each one and understandably, I tell her that she cannot blame her self, she eats rights, doesn’t drink and has never smoked, such a shame that you can do everything your supposed to and things don’t work out how they should. Sorry if a bit gloomy. But fingers crossed and wishing you the best. They tell me I’d be cut out for kids as can easily managed on about 4 hours sleep a night .

Well in the current turbulant times I thought I'd offer a little update. Tomorrow we're 6 months pregnant

We've had a few more ups and downs but generally things are going well. The 'bean' wasn't playing when it came to our 20 week scan. The radiographer couldn't assess the heart and brain, nor could he tell us the sex of the baby. It simply wasn't playing ball.

So despite being given the advice of having a bottle of fizzy drink before going for the scan, to keep the baby active, my bean was giving us the finger and happily snoozing

Fast forward 2 weeks and we had another scan. This time my good lady had a hot chocolate and a chocolate slice. By the time we came to the scan the bean was doing back flips ha! Good news is, the heart and brain are both fine and, well, we now know we're having a little girl.

So I guess I better swot up on princesses and unicorns

Great news mate, myself and the wife had a very similar story to you 3-4 years ago......

Fast forward to the present day. We have 2 gorgeous daughters 3 & 1.
Never have time to clean my car the way I want to, never sleep as long as I want to either!

But nothing beats the smile you get every morning from them......
Even when it’s 6am and you hear the words ‘daddy I done a poo.....yeah’ !!!

That’s great news, stay safe...

And what they say about dads and daughters - it’s true mate, my “little one” is 24 and still has me wrapped round her little finger
