Yea Fly Eye is legal no MOT issues it lets enough light pass, I didn't realise there were firms applying this stuff for cash though.

If they do come off you can pick a roll-up that would do your lights for under a fiver so you could always replace yourself if you felt up to it, not to difficult and is a lot easier than applying tinting film I must say

Back in the olden days I had a mate who used to do all kinds of stupid mods to his car, including installing household stereo speakers in the boot, among many other ridiculous mods.

He just bought some women's tights and stretched them over his lights! Ta-da! Tinted!

Boy did we rip the p*ss out of him for that!

Some people have no clue, or just don't care, not an expert on stereos but wrong ohms vs car and house

Women's tights were a classic, was it a Corsa by any chance? seams Vauxhalls are prone to hack jobs and **** mods should have seen the state of my Zafira when I braught it, fly-eye, wrong sized silicone hose, vac line simplification wrong list goes on

Nope, it was an old Fiesta. I think it ended up getting crashed or blown up, then he got an old Escort, which got even worse modifications, including Sierra bumpers zip-tied and duct-taped to the bottom of the existing bumpers to form some sort of scrapyard bodykit...

I'm sure in his head it looked amazing...

He was a nice enough chap, just a bit "creative" when it came to modifying his cars.

Well the tights may have been stupid, but my mate grabbed them and pulled them up and let go and they just popped back onto the light, so they were much more resilient than this Fly Eye stuff sounds!
