Newbie from Cumbria

Hi all, I've been using this forum for a while but finally decided to join officially. I drive a MK4 Golf GT TDi in black, which was in pretty good shape when i first got it. Spent the first few weeks detailing it to the best i could with limited resources then one day before a job interview i made the mistake of getting the local valet wash to give it the once over, so i would make the best impression possible. Long story short, the workers had no idea how to use any kind of polisher, as it seems they took to it with sanding discs rather than polishing pads and have ruined the paint. This is the start of my thread attempting to correct the damage they've caused with my now relatively large collection of detailing products, hope its a good read for some!
