Like many I'm a big fan of Bar Keepers Friend for removing crud from windscreens. The main problem with it is the powder goes everywhere. BFK has a new cream formulation which cleans just a well but is much easier to use. It costs £1.99 for a 350ml bottle. It made light work of my windscreen this morning and rinsed away really easily.

Where did you get it from ?

I got it in Yorkshire Trading Company so if you're not in Yorkshire I don't know where else to suggest.

Mix the powder with water in a bottle, avoids the powder going everywhere then :thumb:

Cleaned my shower screen better than any of my detailing products. Old style hardware shops sell it. Amazing stuff .

I've always been partial to white vinegar... Is this just for removing large deposits or the whole windscreen?

If you get that really stubborn deeply embedded grease that you see when the wipers go over a wet screen that nothing else will shift that's when BKF comes to the rescue. It contains acids but is far more effective than white vinegar.

I know this is OT but I always found Hobrite for Cermaic and Halogen hobs to be great for that - it seems to have some similar chemicals in to the Bar Keepers Friend.
