I've been using Wisepilot GPS Sat Nav on my BlackBerry Torch.
Question is how much data am I using?
I'm paranoid that I'm using a lot of data without knowing.
I thought it was simply a GPS receiver and the phone but if I go out of mobile network range it goes dead briefly and if I turn off the network receiver if won't allow me to use it, so I am using data, just how much?

I'm pretty sure you would be using data to receive the maps and it's wills only use GPS to get your location. How big was the app? If it was small then you will be using data. If it's quite large then they could just be using the cellular reception to locate you

In one of the settings menus is there not a data usage total that you could check before and after.

I'm still trying to figure the damn thing out.
There is a map folder of the UK which is 110Kb but no other data thingy I can find.

If it's only 110kb I'd say your using data to download the maps on the move otherwise it would be around a gig or so

That was my fear.
The map is UK navigation only and doesn't include Live Traffic, Speed Cameras and City Events which are each a small fee extra. Other countries are vary from 12Kb to 150Kb.
