I'm after some advice in respect to cleaning the gloss black trim on the exterior of my car.(1 series bmw)
The surface of the trim looks blotchy even after a wash .i tried some autoglym vinyl rubber cleaner I had but to no avail,

Is there a cleaner or polish I can try to return it to its former glory?

I used to use a quick detailer and a microfiber on the gloss parts of previous cars I've had
Are the blotches water marks or could it be tar/sap

I'm not 100% sure, iv only owned it a week!and washed it once! it's only the trim that runs around the side windows that appears blotchy,

I'll try take a photo of it,
