I keep one of my cars in the garage and the heating pipes run through it, although they are lagged they produce enough heat to keep it warm and I've also have a lathe and other tools in there with no rust issues.
One thing worth doing is insulating and draught proofing the door.

I'm in the same boat as u mate, but for me I'm moving in the new year,
House has a single garage that's about 7 meters long, and opens up 1/3 of the way in to give me 1.2 meters either side of the car so thought it'd be great, measured the door width today tho and with my mirrors folded in I've only got 100mm either side of the car, quite gutted

The garage door is 7ft wide the car is just an inch over 6ft wide
With mirrors folded in so no problem gettin in me thinks
The garage has a door at back end that opens in to kitchen I thought if
I left this open the heat from house would be enough to keep garage warm ??
