Just got in from valeting a car really quick for a friend and ive had soup!!!


I dont even like soup but thats how cold it was.

Have you tried homemade soup? Since buying a new blender I've gone soup mad, love the stuff, Roasted red pepper, chicken broth, leek and potato, next on the list is spicy parsnip.

They all sound great S63.

On a similar theme I can recommend slow roasting a mix of the following at about 160 deg c for an hour, chopped into inch sq blocks with olive oil and some salt, pepper and paprika:

Carrot
Parsnip
Sweet potato
Red pepper

Add some chopped red onion and whole garic cloves (peeled) about 25mins in and carry on until its all nicely browned and you've got a great side dish, or in your blender for a great soup!

Tiny squares of roasted smoked bacon set it off nicely.

Geez, now I'm hungry...

No comparison. You put in what you want which most likely won't include preservatives, food dye, too much salt and other unpalatable things.

It's the same as anything mate, I make my own bread. Ran out today and had a sandwich from a garage that I used to like and it was disgusting compared. Pot noodle compared to the real thing and definitely soup is much much better made fresh from proper ingredients and no added chemicals etc.

...but you do need to peel the tommies first. I often add a tin of peeled plum
tommies, a small piece of onion, 2garlic cloves and about 30ml of spirit vinegar.

...and missing out on some taste sensations! Ever since I treated myself to
my Vitamix, I've not looked back. As an aside, I've turned my cholesterol number
from 7.3 to 3.7. My current fad, being as parsnips (an excellent soup thickener)
are now in season is pear and parsnip - yum.

You've never experienced cold until a yorkshireman says to you "by eck it's cold lad" :lol:
