Hi all, I have some lacquer peeling on my old van ( 08 plate )

I'm looking to try and get it to a better condition and want go give it a go myself.

What's the best method to go about this? ( I'm not expecting a flawless finish, just to stop it getting worse mainly)

The only real option is to flat back the entire panel, and particularly remove a good area of clearcoat around the failed patches and then completely repaint and lacquer the whole panel.

If all you want is to tidy it up a bit and stop moisture getting under the edge of the failed areas and cause further peeling, you may get away with just sanding back the failed edges and recoating with clearcoat - the failed patches will still show, but not as badly and it may stop further spread, for a while at least.
