Hey guys ive watched a few videos on detailing and ive seen a few people machine polish inside of alloys can this be done with any alloy? If so what products to use such as pad, compound or polish. Would metal polish on a pad work or hand metal polish.

Thanks

Yes it can be done.

Its key to remove all contaminates from the wheel first though.
Last time i did mine i used AB acid free wheel cleaner, Iron X, and then wiped down with IPA.
I used my DA with a small head and 3M finishing pad on with merenza 2500.

I then applied some g techniq to seal :)

Good advice there. I do it it a lot to add some gloss on older wheels. Some newer ones just need a paint cleanser to keep them glossy :)
