Due to a change in job, I had to buy a car to see me through until I got a company car. (Having previously had a company car which I had to give up)

Spent ages looking round before deciding on a 2022 Ford Focus ST Line diesel with 5k on the clock. Bought it locally from a main dealer.

Fast forward a few weeks and I was allocated a company car meaning the Focus needed to go. Now I was expecting to lose some money on it but went for a newish car in order to minimise any losses.
Buying a nearly new car from a main dealer for a few weeks use was never going to result in anything other than a big financial hit, buying something older at the bottom of its depreciation curve from a private seller was the way to minimise losses
