Pad Cleaning

Hi guys,

I am fairly new to detailing and have recently brought myself a DA polisher and pads and polishes from chemical guys. I have watched the tutorial videos online and feel fairly confident on getting started and having a go.

One thing they don't seem to mention is how often to clean the pad. I just wondered how often you should clean the pads as your polishing.

Would it be OK to use one pad to complete the whole car then to clean the polish from the pad afterwards.

Any advice would be gratefully recieved

Thanks
:)

Usually clean after every couple of sets and use roughly 3-4 pads per car depending on size. Although some polishes gunge up the pad more / quicker than other. Eg. Sonax perfect finish is an awesome polish but god the pad gets clogged real quickly and as a result I used 6 pads to do an A4. With Menzerna polishes, use less pads and spur them less often so really depends
