Noticed the paint on my bonnet started fading one day, wax would bring it back to normal for a few weeks. Polished it, paint was looking perfect. Noticed a fair amount of red paint on the pad however. Washed it yesterday, used a citrus pre wash that I thought was diluted but turned out to be concentrate lol. It stripped the polish off and the whole bonnet looks faded again. It seems like it’s a scum of some sort because I can scrape it away with my fingernail. This scum / faded look made its way onto the bumper, but not the front wings.
Also noticed on a stone chip on the bonnet and there looked like layers of paint. Making me think it’s been resprayed? Anyone have any thoughts or seen this before. Thanks
