Removing all traces of stickers

Guys what can I use to remove any traces of stickers and vinyls? There have been a few stickers on the rear windscreen of my car, internal and external, and whilst there is no sticker residue left when there is a moisture or condensation on the car you can clearly see the outline of the graphic.

I have tried IPA, Tardis, glass cleaners to no available. For example wiping over with IPA shows the outline of the sticker (eg a long departed dealer sticker) which then vanishes once the IPA evaporates.

Anything I can do?

This is one that has got me in a pickle in the past as I have yet to find the answer. I had an audi a4 that had obviously at some point in its life spent tiime on a forecourt.

In the winter when it got steamy it would 'ghost' all the sticker outlines on the windscreen!! Never got rid of it no matter what I tried. Mind I did stop shy of compounding it.....

same with mine and its less than 6 month old. You could see the price clearly on the windscreen, until I gave it a couple of hits with megs 80 polish and my DA and then cleaned the glass off. Hey presto, no more price sticker outline.

I had a couple of stickers on the outside of my windows when I got my car, I used the sticky stuff remover from halfords it's in a small yellow spray tin, spray it on, leave it a minuet then I picked the stickers off, gave it a wipe and it took all the glue with it, then used normal house hold glass/window cleaner mr muscle if I remember rightly and wiped off with kitchen roll.

You'd never know there was a sticker there.

Sticky stuff remover is great, I haven't had to use it in a while though.
