I have the same issue! It's driving me mad as I've cleaned out the lance and replaced the metal gauze in the lance as well as using ptfe tape on the threads of the lance but still having the same problem

The bit at the end what changes the spread pattern, try messing with that. Mine does the same thing when the pattern is set too tight

Possibly some dirt from the pw has entered the lance. There is a small jet just ahead of the bulkhead bolt that can become blocked. Remove said bolt and check the jet. The obstruction causes the washer to build up pressure and shut off then repeats over.
