I prefer circles, I find that with straight lines the product doesn't spread that good and it takes more time.

I tend to apply in straight lines, first one way then the other. I find this works especially well with the wax mate. If you are apply 2 coats, then you can be assured that you will have even coverage.

I always apply and spread in circles, then finish in the direction that water is likely to run off at


Probably doesn't make a blind bit of difference but that's the way I like to do it
