3m product advice

Hi all,

im a bit of a noob to machine polishing and have recently purchased a kestral das6 pro, a friend of mine has given me a load of 3m bits and all he said was he uses them with his rotary, i cant get hold of him at the min and im wondering whether the following product and pads will be fine to use with the da as opposed to the rotary or am i just being a muppet!!??

Perfect-it III Fast Cut Plus Compound green top
Perfect-it III Compounding Pad – green, 150mm

Perfect-it III Extra Fine yellow top
Perfect-it III Polishing Pad – yellow, 150mm

hoping to give them a blast tomoz all being well.....

Your pads and compounds are fine for rotary.

The compounds are fine by DA however the pads are best on a rotary.

You can use them on a DA but are likely to wear fairly fast the DA movement will start to break them up.

Not massively or super fast but there not made for a DA.

But there free so have a whirl, you could even cut them down.
