Looking for something to help dry the car without the hideous water spots being left (water here is hard as hades).

Also where are you guys buying decent drying towels, I have some cheapo Amazon bargain bucket ones which aren't much cop.

Thanks in advance

An open hose is the cheapest.

Another cheap and cheerful rinse aid that works well is Demon Shine, on offer at supermarkets every now and then, dilutes well

I would fill a 5ltr watering can, add a little Demon Shine and then simply pour over my recently washed car. Sounds crude but works well.

Drying towel, still love my XL Uber, soaks up copious amounts of water with ease.
AF Aqua Deluxe I had left lint despite a couple of washes. Sold it on.
I have a couple of other smaller drying towels that work well but the size of the Uber XL makes it a breeze to use.

what Neil said, i bought some demon shinefrm B&M last month for ÂŁ3.99 (tesco have it on offer for ÂŁ4 at the minute too) it's a brilliant rinse aid and i use it neat.... as for drying towel i'm using autobrite directs reaper & prestige car care big yellow, i think i'm going to try one of the Klin Korea towels as they're getting very good reviews lately

I have always lived in a soft water area and even use collected rainwater for washing and rinsing so I am not qualified to give an answer but years ago there was someone on here who was in a hard water area, suggesting that if you put 10/20ml of hair conditioner in with your rinse water, he said 10 ml to one bucket or a spray, then you dont get any water spotting anyway.

Also he used to wash his car in the rain.
