Ayup,

Just wondered a good WIFI dongle to get for my desktop pc in the bedroom.

Previously, I was using the plug in wired adapters, but would rather access 'tinterweb' via wifi.

Can any of you recommend a decent one that actually works.

I have the latest Talktalk router when I got 'medium fibre' package a couple of months ago and am happy with signal / speed I get on our phones, ipad etc. My os is Windows 7 so would need to be compatible.

I've read reviews of so called top ten best etc, but struggling to find any of the top 3 in the uk lol

So, anyone currently using a usb wifi dongle that works well please step up and advise as I am looking to purchase one at the weekend.

Tia,

Andy

If you have the option... Ethernet cable EVERY time.
Feel free to hide it behind walls etc.

If you really need a dongle, the USB ones are OK.
The cards that fit into the PC and have an aerial that is on a wire = best.
So PCI-e card, run of cable, aerial on the end. The ones that have the aerial on the back of the card are OK but might need to be careful with orientation of PC to get best signal.

If gaming, use a cable.
If just browsing the net etc, WiFi should be OK.
