Image

2 owners and only 60,000 miles, colour ink blue metallic spec includes sat nav, xenons, rear parking sensors, full grey leather with heated electric front seats and the usual st220 spec

so the to do list
rear washer jet was not working( found the pipe had come of!) fixed:thumb:
new brake discs and pads needed
oil leak from the sump to fix
sat nav gps has no signal so new gps antenna needed
replace sidelights and interior bulbs with cool white led's
change engine and gearbox oil, brake fluid, power steering fluid, panel filter and pollen filter
last job major paint correction as its epically swirly:buffer:

will hopefully get more pic at the weekend when i finally clean it

thanks for all the comment and info

i owned it for under a year and things kept breaking,
manifold cracked twice plus new turbo
aircon pipes had all corroded and split
coil pack broke
spark plugs cracked
headlight washers didn't work
xenon headlights kept adjusting themselves a pointing to the sky
antenna leaked water into roof lining
worst of all the how the thing drove, bumpy, lack of traction, and the accelerator was either on or of no in between:mad:

i will never buy one again or a vauhall

nice cars i had an 04 couple of years ago in silver, estate version. just keep an eye on the oil they tend to use a bit.

FYI plugs are a nightmare intake off new gaskets the lot best part of ÂŁ250 at dealers or ÂŁ100 for bits and a good hour and a bit of your time.

great car but i found it was more expensive than my 3.0 z3 in service and parts and only 20 mpg average round town but thats why we buy em :driver:

Somewhat… i think quite massively! my mate's brother had a ST220 in the performance blue with all the trimmings, walking up to it the first time i realised how much of a understated presence it has.. got inside and everything felt solid and comfortable, the older generations of Ford have probably always been classed as cheap and cheerful but there seemed nothing cheap about the mondeo ST. He let me have a go up and down inside blue water car park and it felt solid, the kinda feel you'd get from a VW, and the engine pulled like a train!

never considered the Mondeo ST up until that point and for months after all i did was find cars that i liked and spend hours on insurance companies websites!

He had the saloon version but id even be tempted by the estate version.

right little update, new led side light and puddle light bulbs fitted will post pics later.
now the bad news the oil leak is coming from the crankshaft seal, wich means the gearbox has to come out also alot of oil was coming out of the sump gasket.
i have tightened the sump bolts an the sump leak as gone yey!

the alloys are mint, only one has a bit of corrosion, most of them at this age are ruined

That's good then. You have got a seriously cracking car there. I actually said to the guy if you can get someone to just stick the stamps in the book I would have had it. You can clearly see it has been looked after sounded sweet as a nut too! Well done :)
defo sounds sweet:thumb:eek:nce ive fixed the little probs and give it a proper :buffer: hopefully if we have another east meet ill bring out:thumb:
