My car of the day, Renault Talisman

Renault has revealed it's replacement Laguna to take on the VW passat and Mondeo, but it's unlikely you will see one in the UK. The Talisman name was confirmed earlier this year and Renault bosses confirmed there won't be a right hand drive version and the reason was the Laguna suffered with poor UK sales that led to it being axed in 2011. The new Talisman is sleeker and more executive looking. The front end design is believed to be the new Renault co -operate grill which will feature on next years new Megane. Inside, the Talisman gets an all new dash design with an 8.7 inch portrait - angled touch screen. New tech includes LED headlamps, a heads up display, Bose surround and hands free parking. At launch there will be two petrol and three diesel engines on offer, a 148 bhp and 197 bhp turbo petrol with either a six speed manual or six speed auto. The Talisman will make an appearance from 2016.

That's a good looking car. Certainly some lines stolen from a Jaguar and an Infiniti.

It just won't sell well in the UK with that badge on the front and will depreciate like a stone.

Looks like a real high end saloon, wouldn't have expected a Renault badge on it.

That is actually a very nice looking car, will probably sell well across Europe despite the fact the Brits seem to have an aversion to Renaults.

its superb, not selling it here due to poor sales, well if they'd built it properly to begin with, it would have sold better!!!!!! hope this one is better built, certainly looks like it
